VQ - Question pages 9 - 14

The "vision quest" metaphor to me is simply a search for knowledge. I like the way its worded because it makes learning look less boring. My father always told me that I would never be too old to learn. He would stress the fact that knowledge knows no age limit as a way of motivating me to strive for it. Instead of me being lazy and sitting around doing nothing, he would encourage me to read books in order to gain as much knowledge as possible. The vision quest metaphor isn't new to me; it is merely an elaborated version of what I've been taught in my past by my father.
